Smoking

MMSC is dedicated to providing a smoke-free environment for all patients, employees, visitors and staff. This policy complies with state law.

Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center has implemented a tobacco free campus policy on July 1, 2008. This policy prohibits smoking and the use of any type of tobacco on all MMSC properties, whether leased or owned, adjacent sidewalks, parking lots and grounds. The policy applies to all patients, visitors, employees, contract workers, volunteers, and physicians. This policy also adheres to the new Iowa Smoking Ban Law, which went into effect on July 1 2008.
