Welcome from MMSC's Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer
Welcome to the Division of Nursing at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center!
Nurses at MMSC are a valuable and integral part of our acclaimed care teams. They work side by side with other healthcare professionals. In addition, our nurses work with patients from all walks of life and handle care needs at every level of complexity.
It is the purpose of the MMSC Division of Nursing, in collaboration with other health care disciplines, to promote and restore health, prevent illness and ease suffering; working with the individual, health care team, family and community. Our dedicated nurses and their commitment to excellence in patient care is the foundation of the Department of Nursing at MMSC. Our philosophy places the focus on the patient and his or her family at all times. The nurses at MMSC always strive for excellence in total patient care.
The mission of the medical center is to create and continually improve services that respond to health care needs in our community. Our values we live by everyday: Quality, Teamwork, Integrity, Empowerment and Compassion. Our nursing practice model supports our mission and values while our shared governance model supports the empowerment and autonomy of the nursing staff.
It is an honor to represent the wealth of knowledge and experience the nursing staff brings to patients throughout Central Iowa. Take a look; we think you will like what you see.
