About the MMSC Foundation

The Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center Foundation was established in 1993 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. The mission of the Foundation is To create and continually improve health care services that meet the needs of our community through a program of philanthropy.  The MMSC Foundation continues to support the hospital’s mission by promoting collaboration and by providing health education and preventive programs.

Community support, commitment and dedication are necessary to meet the needs of a changing and challenging health care environment.

All Foundation spending decisions are made by the Foundation's Board members. Board members, who are elected and serve three year terms, represent a cross section of the communities MMSC serves. Many have special knowledge in banking and finance, and lend their expertise to responsible management of the Foundation's funds.
