MMSC Clinic - Marshalltown
Specializing in Family Practice and Internal Medicine Dr. Larry Beaty, MD, specializes in Family Medicine and Geriatrics. He is a former Marshalltown resident and graduate of Marshalltown Community College, and practiced medicine in State Center. Dr. Beaty was Director of the University of Iowa Residency Program at Broadlawns Medical Center for the past 15 years.
 Dr. Kathy Grauerholz, MD, has returned to Marshalltown to practice Family Medicine at the MMSC Clinic - Marshalltown. Dr. Grauerholz had been practicing at the Covenant Clinic in Cedar Falls since 2002. She earned her medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine.
 J. Michael McCune, MD, a general surgeon, has joined the MMSC Clinic - Marshalltown and Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center, where he holds surgical privileges. Dr. McCune returns to Marshalltown from Tulsa Oklahoma, where he worked for Oklahoma Surgery, Inc., and held privileges at Hillcrest Medical Center, Southcrest Hospital, St. Francis South Hospital and St. John’s Medical Center. Dr. McCune is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. He completed his medical education at Kansas University Medical Center and his residency at the University of Oklahoma, Tulsa Medical College. He was on the Medical Staff of Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center from 1985-1996. Dr. McCune’s surgical specialties include General, Abdominal, and Thoracic Surgery.
 Dr. Narasimha Palagummi, MD, is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. Dr. Palagummi received his Medical Degree from the University of Iowa as well as a Master’s Degree in Public Health. He completed his residency training from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Palagummi will also be practicing Psychiatry at Center Associates.
 Dr. Darwin Peterson, DO, FACS, a general surgeon, has joined the MMSC Clinic, Marshalltown and Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center, where he holds surgical privileges. Dr. Peterson attended University of Missouri in Columbia , receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology. He obtained his Master’s Degree from Northwest Missouri State University. He graduated from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical School in 1987. Dr. Peterson comes to Marshalltown from Iowa City, where he was a partner with Surgical Services, PC, and Chief of Surgery at Mercy Iowa City. In 2000 he retired from the United States Army, Medical Corps as a Lieutenant Colonel.
 Dr. Moulali Shaik, MD recently joined the medical staff of the MMSC Clinic - Marshalltown. Dr. Shaik is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Shaik comes to Marshalltown from Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in Bronx New York, where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine. He received his medical education at the University Health Sciences, Guntur Medical College in Guntur India.
Dr. Ron Terrill, MD, specializes in Internal Medicine. He is returning to Marshalltown from the MMSC Clinic - State Center, but he intends tocontinue to make rotations to State Center to serve existing patients.
